Indianapolis Colts Take On Falcons in German Capital – Week 10 NFL Action

Hello, fussball fans. Wie gehts? Alles klar I trust on this fine early start to the tenth week coming straight outta Germany. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be exact where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the mighty Colts (7-2) take on the Falcons (three wins and five losses). The fifth game played on soil in Germany and the initial in the capital city.

Pre-match Highlights

When it comes to glittering attire that is an real standout from Katarina Witt on the coin toss. A minor slip from the broadcast team there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the commentator with an unfortunately hot mic.

So, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have chosen to get the ball first. Daniel Jones and company will be taking the field soon. Will the QB bounce back after a rough one in their last game?

Not to be outdone the singer belting out the US national anthem has some of the largest shoulder pads you are ever likely to see. The fashion picks are impressive today. We are almost underway after a choral number for the German anthem. Classy.

Opening Period Action

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

Here we go! And we have early drama after Jonathan Taylor catches a screen pass, gains 15 yards on the outside to the right side then fumbles … only for his center to recover the fumble with the recovery. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Colts 0-0 Falcons 10:51, 1st quarter

And the drama keeps coming as the Indianapolis attempts a fourth-down conversion. The gamble fails to pay off as the wide receiver fails to catch a quick pass from the quarterback. Prior to the failed attempt Jessie Bates put a massive tackle on tight end Mo Alie-Cox. Atlanta's defense started strong as they attempt to end their three-game losing streak. Following that, Sauce Gardner makes his first appearance!

Touchdown Updates

First score: Colts lead 6-0 at 8:36

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was wide open but the ball just swishes through his hands. That moment reflects the first round pick’s career to date.

A disappointing start but it only deteriorates for the Atlanta as they turn over possession to the Colts on the 23-yard mark. Michael Penix Jr is hunted down and can’t keep hold of the ball.

An agile 22-yard rush from the Colts receiver sets Jonathan Taylor up to easily run for a touchdown on the next snap. The placekicker skews the extra point wide. Oops.

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-7 Falcons 6:07, 1st quarter

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by leading Atlanta on a long drive for a score of their own. The wide receiver makes some substantial catches to put them in the scoring area then the seas part for the running back to saunter on to the goal line through the middle of the defense for a 13-yard gain. The running back finishes it off for a one-yard touchdown of his own. Advantage Atlanta.
