'Living a Nightmare': Relatives of Unaccounted For Teens Await Information After Ski Resort Fire

The loved ones of teenagers missing after a tragic inferno at a bar in a Swiss winter destination are confronting an excruciating wait for answers and appealing for clues about their family members publicly.

The fire engulfed the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Circulated video reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.

Officials have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the disaster, which killed 40 people and injured another scores more. Officials stated on Friday that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts ongoing to identify the remaining few.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been posting on online platforms to appeal for clues about their loved ones who were in attendance that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing
