Trump's Family Member Gets Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to Professional Golf Debut
The rising star has impressive social media following
Kai Trump will have multiple well-known cheerleaders as she makes her professional golf debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates several golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she revealed.
She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically told me to play and enjoy myself," she explained.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in only three events recently and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to play, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, including world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA commented that involving Kai brings the sport to new audiences, especially among the next generation.
The young star maintains a massive following and has started an exclusive apparel and wellness company.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
